ABOUT THIRSTY MOLECULE
1. What kind of skincare brand is Thirsty Molecule?
Thirsty Molecule is a modern, formulator-led skincare brand built around hydration and skin-barrier support. Every formula is evaluated for its ingredients, concentrations, compatibility, pH and overall performance—because a formula should do more than simply look impressive on a label.
2. Are Thirsty Molecule products natural or chemical-based?
Everything—including plants, water and your skin—is made of chemicals. So we do not divide ingredients into ‘natural is good’ and ‘chemical is bad.’
Depending on the formula, we may use plant-derived extracts, modern cosmetic actives, nature-identical ingredients and carefully selected functional ingredients. What matters to us is whether an ingredient is safe, stable, compatible and being used at an appropriate concentration.
3. Are Thirsty Molecule products Ayurvedic or herbal?
No, Thirsty Molecule is not positioned as an Ayurvedic or purely herbal skincare brand—but that does not mean plants have been banished from the lab.
Depending on what the formula needs, we may use plant-based extracts, botanical oils or fragrance components, including essential oils where appropriate. Even ingredients such as emulsifiers and emollients may be derived from plant-based raw materials. We choose ingredients according to their function in the formula, not according to whether they sound natural or scientific.
4. Do Thirsty Molecule products contain preservatives?
Of course!
Preservation is not a bad word—it is what prevents a water-based skincare product from becoming a breeding ground for bacteria, yeast and mould. Many packaged products we use or consume every day also rely on approved preservatives or other preservation methods to remain safe and stable.
What matters is not merely whether a preservative is present, but which preservative is used, whether it is suitable for that particular formula and whether it is used within its recommended usage level.
5. What does ‘formulation first’ mean?
It means we look at the complete formula—not just one fashionable ingredient printed in a large font on the front.
The concentration of each active, its supporting ingredients, compatibility, pH, stability and overall skin feel all matter. No decorative actives. No miracle promises. Just formulas designed to do their job.
6. Are your products free from SLS, SLES and parabens?
Yes. Our current formulations are free from SLS, SLES and parabens. The complete ingredient list is available on the individual product page and product packaging.
7. Are Thirsty Molecule products cruelty-free?
Yes. Thirsty Molecule products are not tested on animals.
UNDERSTANDING YOUR SKIN
8. Why does Thirsty Molecule put hydration first?
Because almost every skin ambition—glow, comfort, smoothness, brightness and graceful ageing—benefits from skin that is properly hydrated and supported by a healthy barrier.
Hydration may not be the loudest step in skincare, but it is often the step that helps everything else behave better.
9. What is the difference between dry and dehydrated skin?
Dry skin generally lacks oil, while dehydrated skin lacks water. Dry skin is usually a skin type; dehydration is a temporary condition that can affect any skin type—including oily skin.
That means skin can feel oily on the surface and still be dehydrated underneath.
10. Does oily skin need a moisturizer?
Yes. Oil and water are not the same thing. Oily skin can still be dehydrated and may benefit from a lightweight moisturizer that provides hydration without feeling heavy or greasy.
Skipping moisturizer does not necessarily make oily skin less oily. The better approach is to choose a texture suited to it.
11. Is tightness after cleansing a sign that my face is properly clean?
No. That squeaky, stretched feeling is often a sign that the cleanser has removed more than just dirt and excess oil.
A good daily cleanser should leave your skin feeling clean and comfortable—not as though it has developed trust issues.
12. Why is the skin barrier so important?
The skin barrier helps keep moisture in and irritants out. When it is compromised, skin may feel tight, dry, rough, sensitive or easily irritated.
Gentle cleansing, adequate moisturization and avoiding unnecessarily aggressive routines can help support it.
13. Is Hyaluronic Acid an exfoliating acid?
No. Despite the word ‘acid,’ Hyaluronic Acid is not an exfoliant. It is a moisture-binding molecule that helps attract and retain water, supporting a hydrated and plump-looking appearance.
CETAGLOW
14. What is CetaGlow?
CetaGlow is a gentle, non-foaming cream cleanser formulated to remove everyday dirt and excess oil without leaving the skin feeling tight, dry or stripped.
It contains 2% Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, Pro-Vitamin B5 and Jojoba Oil.
15. Can a non-foaming cleanser clean properly?
Absolutely. Foam is not the measure of cleansing.
CetaGlow uses a creamy, non-foaming system to cleanse the skin while maintaining a comfortable after-feel. Your cleanser does not need to produce a cloud of bubbles to prove that it showed up for work.
16. Who can use CetaGlow?
CetaGlow has been formulated as a gentle daily cleanser and can be used across skin types. Its creamy, non-stripping format may be particularly well suited to dry, dehydrated or sensitive-feeling skin.
Because every individual’s skin behaves differently, a patch test is always recommended before regular use.
17. How do I use CetaGlow?
Apply an appropriate amount to damp skin and massage gently over the face. Rinse thoroughly with water and pat dry. It can be used in both your morning and evening routines.
18. Can CetaGlow remove makeup and sunscreen?
CetaGlow can remove everyday dirt, excess oil and light residue. For heavy makeup, waterproof sunscreen or water-resistant makeup, use an appropriate makeup remover or first cleanser before following with CetaGlow.
HYDRAMATRIX
19. What is HydraMatrix?
HydraMatrix is a lightweight gel-cream moisturizer formulated to provide lasting hydration and support the skin barrier—without the heavy or greasy aftermath.
It contains 2% Pentavitin®, 8 Molecular Weights of Hyaluronic Acid, Triple Ceramides and Oat Milk Extract.
20. Who can use HydraMatrix?
Some moisturizers feel too heavy, while others disappear so quickly that your skin is left wondering whether anything was applied at all.
A great deal of thought went into finding the balance in HydraMatrix: a lightweight gel-cream texture that feels substantial enough for dry and dehydrated skin, yet comfortable enough for oily and combination skin. Because hydration is a need shared by every skin type—even if the preferred texture differs.
21. What is Pentavitin®?
Pentavitin® is the trademarked form of Saccharide Isomerate, developed by its ingredient manufacturer. It binds to the skin’s surface and helps attract and retain moisture.
The ingredient manufacturer’s studies report hydration lasting for up to 72 hours. HydraMatrix contains Pentavitin® at 2%, and we are rather proud to bring this hydration technology to your daily moisturizer.
The ‘up to 72 hours’ statement refers to the ingredient manufacturer’s study data; individual results from the finished product may vary.
22. What does ‘8 Molecular Weights of Hyaluronic Acid’ mean?
Hyaluronic Acid is available in different molecular sizes, which interact with the skin’s surface in different ways. HydraMatrix combines eight molecular weights to create a more comprehensive hydration system and help the skin feel soft, plump and comfortable.
23. Why does HydraMatrix contain Triple Ceramides?
Ceramides are lipids naturally found in the skin barrier. HydraMatrix contains Ceramides NP, AP and EOP to support the barrier and help the skin hold on to moisture.
24. How do I use HydraMatrix?
Apply HydraMatrix to clean skin after cleansing and any lightweight or water-based serums. Gently massage until absorbed.
It can be used in both your morning and evening routines. During the day, follow with a suitable broad-spectrum sunscreen.
25. Can HydraMatrix be used under makeup?
Yes. HydraMatrix has a lightweight, non-greasy texture designed to sit comfortably under makeup. Allow it to absorb before applying sunscreen, primer or foundation.
26. Can I use CetaGlow and HydraMatrix together?
Yes. Use CetaGlow to cleanse, follow with HydraMatrix to hydrate, and finish with sunscreen during the day.
Cleanse + hydrate. Done.
USAGE AND SAFETY
27. Can teenagers use Thirsty Molecule products?
Our current cleanser and moisturizer have been developed as gentle, everyday skincare products and are formulated in accordance with applicable cosmetic safety and quality requirements. We do not knowingly use ingredients prohibited for cosmetic use under applicable regulations.
However, ‘safe’ does not mean that every formula will suit every person. Skin behaves differently from one individual to another, so a patch test is always recommended. Teenagers dealing with persistent acne, eczema, allergies or other skin conditions should consult a dermatologist.
28. Do I need to perform a patch test?
Yes. Even a well-formulated product may not suit every individual.
Apply a small amount to a discreet area and observe your skin before incorporating the product into your regular routine. Discontinue use if you experience persistent redness, itching, swelling or discomfort.
29. Are the products suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Pregnancy and breastfeeding can change skin sensitivity and individual medical considerations. We recommend showing the complete ingredient list to your doctor before introducing any new skincare product during this period.
30. Can I use Thirsty Molecule products with other skincare actives?
CetaGlow and HydraMatrix can generally be incorporated into routines containing commonly used skincare actives. Introduce products gradually, especially if your skin is sensitive, and avoid adding several unfamiliar actives at the same time.
If you use prescription skincare or are undergoing dermatological treatment, consult your dermatologist before changing your routine.
31. How soon will I see results?
Hydration and skin comfort may be noticeable relatively quickly, but results vary with skin type, environment, the rest of your routine and consistency of use.
We do not believe in miracle timelines. Skincare is a relationship, not a speed date.
32. Can Thirsty Molecule products treat acne, eczema or other medical skin conditions?
No. Thirsty Molecule products are cosmetic products and are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure a medical condition.
Please consult a dermatologist for persistent acne, eczema, allergies, severe sensitivity or other medical concerns.
33. How should I store the products?
Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat. Keep the packaging properly closed and use each product before the expiry date printed on its pack.
